Arbres que ens il·luminen. Històries que semblen de Nadal, però que no ho són, is a project promoted by Granollers City Council.
The project sought to propose an installation in one of the city’s main thoroughfares, placing 20 pedestals showing a series of historical stories showing humanity, bravery and love, which could be beautiful Christmas tales, but which in reality, as the name of the project indicates, they are not, since they were real. Small, simple stories of great, human people. Each next to a tree on Roger de Flor street, in Granollers.
The installation was conceived, illustrated and designed to capture the interest of as many ages, genders and cultures as possible.
It was a daring Christmas campaign, as its purpose moved away from a consumerist message like the vast majority of campaigns of the time and brought you closer to the reflection of good human acts in these turbulent times we live in.
On the other hand, collectable postcards of these stories were made and distributed to the different shops.
The stories we could find are:
Aline Sitoé Diatta / Rigoberta Menchú / Harriet Tubman i Hadizatou Mani / Malala Yousafzai / Ousman Umari /
Nicholas Winton / Pau Casals / Peter Willcox / Àlex Roca / Hellen Keller / Casa de la sida / Sheila Watt-Cloutier / Oslobodjenje / Treva de Nadal, 1914 / Noah Seathl / Constand i Abraham / L’aventura de sis nois /
Campanya màrqueting FARC / La lleona de Lisabi / Celeste Caeiro
